Emotional Health and Physical Health

Your Emotional Health

emotional healthEmotional health is being in control of how you feel, how you behave and how you think.

It’s about happiness, letting go of the little things in life, and enjoying all of your blessings. So, it’s important to make time for appreciation, love and the beauty of life.

Are there things in life you haven’t fully dealt with? It may help to talk to someone so you can fully heal and move on. It will make the rest of your life better.

Let go of the the worry! Some things are simply out of our control. Negative thoughts waste your time and drain energy.

Get in touch with your feelings. Did you use to keep a diary but stopped? Or do you have a friend you can always talk to? Use your resources to get in touch with how you’re really doing inside.

Volunteer to give back. Spend an hour helping out at a charity, an animal rescue or offer to watch the neighbor’s kids for an hour while they have a date. You’ll feel good about giving back and it will brighten your self-worth.

Spread the love. Does your family know how much you love them? Your coworkers how much you appreciate them? Take time to share the love and let your friends and loved ones know you really care. Whether a kind note or just through words, find a way to brighten someone’s day with your words of kindness.

Your Physical Health

physical healthPhysical health is how our body functions. Our weight, the rest we get and the exercise we do all impact our physical health and need attention.

Here are a few ways to boost your physical health:

Schedule appointments. Make appointments for your eye doctor and dentist visits, and of course your chiropractic care checkups! Getting the scheduling part off your to-do list will feel great and it’s always nice to be organized.

Nutrition. Try the juice cleanse you’ve been eying, or grab more vegetables at the supermarket to avoid the chips and sugary drinks. It’s hard to make drastic diet changes, but start with small, reasonable goals and you’ll eventually get there.

Get more sleep. Even if it’s 15 minutes more each evening it’s a great goal and healthy decision every time.

Hydrate. Grab a big water bottle and make sure you’re always hydrating. Remember hydration helps with appetite, energy, and overall fuel for the day. You can even use a marker to write how much water you should drink by certain times of the day, this will help you stay on track.

Exercise more regularly. Even if it’s just a walk around the block, physical movement is crucial to our overall health and well being.
