Your shoulders are extremely versatile and mobile. You can move shoulders in a variety of directions with short movements, long movements and every degree of movement in between. A highly mobile joint like your shoulders makes it more susceptible to injury and when there is injury, pain will usually follow.
The common causes of shoulder pain are usually tied to one of the following:

“I couldn’t move my neck and was overweight by more than 30 pounds. I didn’t feel good about myself as a person.
After coming to Baker Chiropractic and Wellness, I feel 100% better. I now believe chiropractic care is so much better than traditional medicine. If doctors in traditional medical practices approached their careers, their practices and most importantly, their patients, with the same attitude and work ethic as Dr. Baker, my attitude might be different.
Thank you Dr. Baker for being there for me and providing a much needed change and improvement in my life.”

“I wanted to take a moment to chronicle my story of healing and ongoing restoration.
A year ago, I called Dr. Baker’s office out of desperation. I was in incredible neck pain and had already been to my primary care doctor who referred me to a neck and back specialist with the idea I would be heading for surgery.
So, with little hope… but lots of pain, I figured I’d try anything to ease my pain. My thought at the time was even if it would be temporary, I would see a chiropractor just until I could schedule a consultation and surgery (there was at least a month wait for an appointment).
I was definitely a skeptic… in fact, my normal reaction to chiropractor care would be mockery! Doc Baker said, “skeptics make the best patients”. I didn’t know at that point how true that statement would be!
After a few visits to Doctor Baker, I was feeling remarkably better. After a few weeks I canceled my appointments with the surgeon and in a few more weeks felt almost as good as new. Today I go back a few times a month for maintenance adjustments and believe a healthy spine leads to a healthy life. I couldn’t really believe how quickly I had felt better and despite by skepticism, how much I now believed in this practice.
I am often amazed at how much better I feel from something I was once so skeptical about. I’m glad I wasn’t too stubborn to make that phone call and have an open mind because it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
And, finally, any one who has ever visited would be able to tell you: The positive energy and hope exuded by every employee and most patients is contagious and uplifting. They are definitely, “Healing Spines, One Day at a Time” but they are also doing so with an eternal purpose and uplifting people’s lives in general when they do it.
Sincerely,
Glen G.
“I would like to start off by saying it is a blessing to have Dr. Brock Frear in my life.
The injuries to my body probably started back in high school when I had a blow to the head from a sign falling from the ceiling in a grocery store where I was working. I was checked out by the doctor and they told me that I had minor injuries, but I had to file for worker’s compensation. I couldn’t turn my head to the left from this injury, but by being a teenager, you just go with the flow until the pain goes away.
As I got older and into my mid-30’s I noticed that I was having slight pains all throughout my shoulders, but everyone told me that it was stress from everyday life challenges. Things seemed to get worse as years went on. I would try every over-the-counter medicine for pain and it would help for a minute and then the pain would start back up. I tried ice packs and warm compress, but nothing seemed to take the pain away.
Last summer, I had an incident where I fell out of the tub on my left side and hit hard. I was so lucky that I didn’t break anything. Then, August of the same year, I was in a car accident, and the driver hit me on the left side of my car so that just added fuel to the fire.
The pain was getting so bad that I had no energy to do anything. My body always felt like I had a thousand tons of bricks on my shoulders. I would put a smile on my face at work just to make it through the day, but when I got home, the only thing I wanted to do was lay down. It was to the point where my daughter would want me to take her shopping and I didn’t have the energy to even do that.
One day I was at work and my co-worker told me about Baker Chiropractic and Wellness. I said I didn’t want to go because I’ve only heard bad things about chiropractors and I don’t want to be worse than I am now. She said just go talk with them and see what they say. So I made an appointment and went through all the procedures and was in shock of the damage on my neck, spine and hips. I started to cry and Dr. Brock told me that he would get me back to normal.
So, I started my routine and still wasn’t a believer in this chiropractic stuff, but as weeks went on, I could feel my body starting to change. Then after a few months, I could feel the energy coming back, and I could start to do more things with my daughter. Now, I feel myself walking taller and everything is going back in alignment like it’s supposed to be.
After 36 visits, I saw my x-rays and was amazed at the outcome. I was so happy I had to hug Dr. Brock twice and told him thank you so much for getting me back in the groove of things to where I could function. Again, I’m so happy to have him in my life!”

“For some time I have been suffering from a rotator cuff problem with my left shoulder. It finally became so debilitating that I went to orthopedic surgeons who took x-rays and an MRI. One of the surgeons recommended arthroscopic surgery.
Instead of doing that, I started physical therapy, which helped a bit, but I still had a major problem. The problem continued to worsen, and I went to a chiropractor. This also did not work and my shoulder became much worse. It was so bad that I could no longer exercise, my range of motion was severely limited and getting worse, I was unable to sleep on my shoulder, and it was waking me up every night and causing me to be very tired because of the disruption of sleep. And my shoulder was in constant pain.

Then I saw Dr. Patrick Baker when I was walking my dogs, and he asked how I was doing. When I told him of the above, he asked me to give him two weeks for a total of 6 visits. I was at this point highly skeptical and told him so. But I had nothing to lose. So I went to see Dr. Patrick at his office in West Chester, Ohio.
What Dr. Patrick accomplished in just two weeks was nothing short of miraculous to me. I am a lawyer and not prone to exaggeration or impressed easily, and I do not tell people something that is not true. I am incredibly impressed with what Dr. Patrick has done for me.
My range of motion is almost completely restored in my shoulder. I no longer have active pain. I can sleep on my shoulder, and I am again able to exercise with it. It is not yet perfect, but the improvement is dramatic. I would not have believed what he has done for me except that I have experienced it first hand. He has made a huge difference in my well-being and the quality of my life.
Thank you Dr. Patrick.”
