“My 12-year-old twin girls were diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) four years ago.
EDS is a group of disorders that affect connective tissues, which are tissues that support the skin, bones, blood vessels, and other organs. Defects with connective tissues cause the signs and symptoms of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which vary from mildly loose joints to life-threatening complications.
My girls’ EDS affects their spine, legs and arms. They were having severe pain, numbness and tingling in all three areas.
Dr. Patrick Baker has been adjusting them on a regular basis and they have been using their home care kits. Their pain, numbness and tingling are decreasing.
They have been adjusted since birth. Actually, their first adjustments were at the hospital. Shortly after birth, they were both diagnosed with Chiara malformation, which affected their sensory and motor function. They continued with specific chiropractic adjustments and showed improvement.
The Chiara progressively got worse. So, my twins underwent decompression surgery to help improve the flow of the cerebral spinal fluid.
It’s 2014 and the twins still get chiropractic adjustments. They show great benefits from having a properly aligned spine.
We will continue to receive chiropractic care for the rest of the twins’ lives.
Chiropractic care has been wonderful both before and after the surgery. Thanks to Dr. Baker and his wonderful staff!”*
