Herniated Discs
Move Better with Herniated Disc Care
A herniated disc can cause more than just back or neck pain. When a spinal disc becomes damaged or bulges outward, it may irritate nearby nerves and lead to pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness that can extend into the arms or legs.
At Baker Chiropractic, we take a personalized approach to herniated disc care. We begin by understanding your symptoms, evaluating your spine and nervous system, and determining whether conservative chiropractic care is appropriate for your condition.
Our goal is to help reduce irritation, improve spinal movement, and support your ability to return to the activities you enjoy.
What Is a Herniated Disc?
Your spinal column contains vertebrae separated by small, flexible discs. These discs act as cushions between the bones and help your spine move comfortably.
A herniated disc occurs when the outer portion of a spinal disc becomes damaged and the inner material pushes outward. Depending on the location and severity of the herniation, the disc may irritate or put pressure on nearby nerves.
This can result in symptoms ranging from localized discomfort to pain or unusual sensations traveling into the arms or legs.
